Apps World Conference 2014 in London

Apps World conferences have grown each year by a staggering amount. This year in November 2014 Apps World came to London to showcase a two-day networking event and keynote presentation by industry leaders. Every year this event grows in size and maintains eager developers in the loop of the latest technological innovations.

Hosted in London’s ExCel, this amazing event hosted over 300 exhibitors and housed over 250 speakers.

What was covered?

Absolutely everything imaginable was covered in this year’s event from the latest wearable technology apps, interconnectivity apps, TV apps and marketing strategies and workshops for the mobile, gaming, droid and cloud world. People could dig into the some seriously golden information that helped them plan their strategies for the upcoming year.

Keynote Speakers

There were plenty of Keynote speakers who shared their wisdom and insight about what is to come for the world of mobile technology. Jason Bradbury spoke about the future of wearable technology and how it will interact with a wide variety of niches including, fitness, fashion, medical to name a few. Subjects such as app ecosystems were discussed in addition to innovations in the world of gaming, communication and much more.

Hackathon

Each conference isn’t complete without a Hackfest contest where developers enter the ring competing for a grand prize, Raze Blade Laptop and a Parisian Experience and over £1,000 in Amazon Vouchers.

This year the best “hack” was given to Shush with their intelligent app that uses a network of mobile devices equipped with microphones to suggest the smartest routes for cyclists with minimal noise and disruption to their activities.

Continual Growth

The founder of Apps World, Mr. Ian Johnson said that in the five years they have been running this show, they have seen an amazing amount of growth over the years. This year the show attracted over 12,000 people and provided some of the most intuitive information for eager developers from all over the world.

Each event, more developers step into the game and bigger Keynote speakers step up to participate. This coming 2015 event in Berlin will feature Gaming Legend Ian Livingstone as the keynote speaker. Covered in this upcoming event will include Mobile strategy, payments and Banking, Gaming, Connected devices, Cloud and Enterprise apps as well as apps for television.
