The future is filled with apps and smart devices that simplify our lives. The average smartphone user has roughly 25 active apps on their phones. Some of these apps are paid while others are free to download but the trends remain clear. People have become App-Dependent!
At Bermotech, we understand that for those who know how to create apps, the future shines bright. That’s why this year we have been busy developing apps with app developers of a different kind.
What makes these talented app developers so special is their age. Yes, we’re talking about our summer camp program specially created for kids from nine to fifteen years of age.
This year three fresh new apps were developed by these creative young minds, which are currently available in the App Store.
Function Express
Ages: 13-15
Function Express is a multipurpose app that include elements like “Heads or tails”, a Music DJ that combines different musical elements, A Quiz challenge and even a Translator that translates two common phrases into five different languages.
All of these elements were incorporated in a week, which was the duration of the course. Most of the kids didn’t have any prior programming experience.

iBored
Ages: 9-12
For those long summer days when you have nothing to kill but time, this bright-eyed bunch created iBored, an app that helps you beat the boredom. This innovative app will suggest activities for the user to do in the case of extreme boredom. You can even select location, take a quiz and even learn a recipe.
In addition, the youngsters incorporated a random activity generator, which guarantees a world of fun!

Cryptid
Ages: 13-15
Have you ever wondered what mythical creature you are? This creative app helps you discover your true identity with a series of questions. Once you have finished your 3-part questionnaire, you merely submit your answers and your mythical creature is revealed.
Swipe to the side and you can learn more about the nature of your creatures.
Once more, this app was developed in a week at the Bermotech summer camp.
