Rumours were confirmed today when Apple introduced its iPhone 5s, featuring Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor.
All fingerprint information is encrypted and saved on the chip. Touch on the home button reads the fingerprint information and unlocks the phone.
Purchases on the App store can also be authorized using touch id.
The phone is available in silver, gold and grey. Other features include:

- iSight camera with a larger 8MP sensor
