This exciting and comprehensive coding camp offers students the opportunity to learn two of the most popular programming languages — Python and Java — in one dynamic week! Designed for beginners and improvers alike, this course provides a solid foundation in both languages through engaging, hands-on projects and fun coding challenges.
In the morning sessions, students will dive into Python, a beginner-friendly language widely used in web development, automation, AI, and data science. They’ll learn key programming concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, functions, and more, while building creative text-based games and mini projects.
In the afternoon sessions, students will explore Java programming through Greenfoot, a visual and interactive platform ideal for learning object-oriented programming (OOP). Using Greenfoot, they’ll design and develop their own interactive games, applying core Java concepts such as classes, methods, inheritance, and event handling in a fun and practical way.
By the end of the camp, students will have gained valuable experience in two distinct programming languages and walk away with a portfolio of Python projects and Java games, greater confidence, and a strong foundation to continue their coding journey.
