We offer coding courses for teens which delve into various aspects of tech such as Coding, App Development, Web Development, Game Programming, and Electronics. At our tech camps, teens have the opportunity to learn how to code with Python, develop their own Android or iOS apps, create their own webpages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, build their own games in Java, create and program their own electronic circuits – there is a subject for every students’ interests. We also run Tech Entrepreneurship Camp: an exciting course combining the business and tech where teens are challenged to work in teams to create, market, and pitch their own product.
Classes
All students are catered for their specific learning styles, which is why we enrol small class sizes, with a maximum of eight students. With smaller class sizes, we can make sure that every teen receives a sufficient amount of attention, help, and tailored teaching in order to help them achieve their best and expand their skill set throughout our courses.
Activities
Create your own games, build your own apps, and wire your own electrical circuits. We teach all tech courses through a resourceful combination of theory and practical activities which our students find constructive and enjoy. Throughout our coding courses, teens will work and learn in an assortment of ways including working independently, collaborating in teams, presenting to peers, and creating videos of their learning experience. This way, we can make sure that teens solidify the knowledge they have gained during their time with Bermotech.
Skills
Our coding courses for teens are open to young people of all abilities, backgrounds, and skill sets. Regardless if your teen is a beginner or has prior tech knowledge, we challenge our students based on their individual skill level. We encourage all of our students to push their limits and learn the most they can at our classes. Therefore, how much they learn and how far they grow is entirely up to their hard work. Our course activities drive our students to boost their tech knowledge and a whole host of valuable skills such as their confidence, creativity, communication, problem solving, presentation, and video making skills.
Time
Our coding courses can fit to everyone’s schedule. We run our tech camps for teens all year, including term-time and holidays. Also, we offer online coding course for teens. All of our holiday camps run over a course of five days, but are available as either half-day or full-day tech camps depending on which suits your availability. Likewise, our term-time coding courses for teens typically run during weekends or after school. We also provide after-school tech clubs at local schools, so please contact us for more information if this is of interest to you.
Additional information
At most of our coding courses for teens, students are provided with all the materials they will need such as laptops and other tech equipment. However, students are welcome to use their own laptops for the classes if they wish to do so.
Snacks and drinks are will be provided to our students at all of our courses, however, students are expected to bring their own packed lunches for full day courses. Please let us know in advance of any allergies or food intolerances before classes.
